A New Place to Call Home
Missed me?
Probably not but that's okay ;)
It's been almost a month since my last post and I have been itching to get back to writing. To say we've been busy might be an understatement but it was a good busy. We recently moved into a "new" house that we are so excited about. I say new but it's an older house with a ton of charm.Did you see what I did there, harnessing my inner Jo-Jo. All of us absolutely love it and are blessed to be able to call it our home.
I have been in complete awe of the way God has worked in our lives in the past few months. When we found out about this house, it was one of those too good to be true deals. Seeming to be just out of reach based on our current situation. But the minute we toured the home, we felt home. So after talking about it, we decided to pray. Our prayer was very simple, God if this is what is supposed to happen, help it come to pass. Help make a way for us.
We began the process of trying to make this new home ours and tried our best to keep our eyes focused on him throughout the whole ordeal. Anyone who has ever bought a house knows it can be stressful and sometimes a little unpredictable. Things do not always go the way you plan, which I should know by now is life. To be honest, it was hard. Trusting that no matter the outcome, that God was going to take care of us. Truly a humbling experience to say the least.
But when it was all said and done, all I can say is my God showed up big time! He didn't just help us through this process, he blessed us through this process. Never have I seen him work in such amazing ways so close to home. Let me say, I am still in awe of his plans, how much greater are they than my own. I pray everyday that I remember the way he answered my prayers and then gave me more than I deserve. What a truly powerful and all-knowing God I serve.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
With love,
Tori
