Live It Well
Listening to one of my favorites this morning (let's be honest I have about bazillion favorites), "Life is short, I want to live it well."
YES! I want to live it well.
We sometimes make things more complicated than they have to be spending more time trying to figure everything out rather than just trying to live it well. So I decided to make myself a list. (Imagine that?!) A list that will help me remember to stay out of my own head and just live it well.
Speak light. If you wouldn't say it in front of Jesus, then you probably shouldn't say it.
Laugh. Laughing can heal the soul. I still miss my Grandma terribly, but my favorite thing to do when I'm missing her is to remember all the ways she made me laugh. Just because it's a sad time doesn't mean you shouldn't try to find the joy in it all.
Give love and show compassion. Be extra; extra in your giving, extra in the way you show love to those in your life; extra in all things good.
Teach and then do. Whatever you tell your kids to do, you should do yourself. Otherwise, they will do exactly as you do, not as you say.
Change when change is needed. Be teachable because no one has made it yet.
Pay your bills on time. Unless there is some unavoidable circumstance. (New toys are not unavoidable circumstances)
Stop accumulating. One thing I'm still working on. If you have something already that works (a house, a car, clothes, phone, etc.) don't get a new one. Use what you have until it's gone or broke. We don't need anymore excess in our lives, we need simplicity.
Get up and move. Walk, run, skip, hop, jump. Get your heart pumping, and enjoy be able to breathe in and breathe out because that means you're still alive.
Make a decision then follow through. Decide who you are going to live for and make that your sole purpose. Everything else will fall into place as it should.
Pray and remember to just live it well.
What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? Luke 9:25

Live It Well List (According to Tori)
Smile. We probably all want to exercise more, but let's not exercise our face as much. You use more muscles when you make a frown than when you smile, so cut yourself some slack in this area. Just smile.Speak light. If you wouldn't say it in front of Jesus, then you probably shouldn't say it.
