Dear Husband

Dear Husband,

Today is your birthday.

You are the Matthew to these Four Girls. It takes a special person to deal with so much estrogen in one house and you do it with ease.

Celebrating you is what I want to do, but there is so much that needs to be said that I could talk for days.

I could talk about about the humor you dish out to keep us all laughing minute by minute at the Bryan house. Or I could talk about the realness of life you possess which makes me breathe in a deep sigh of relief when I look at this world of make-believe that we live in.  I could talk about how I cherish the days when you're not on night shift. Or how the sound of the keys jingling and the door opening at the end of the day makes my heart do a little dance. I could talk about the compassion you have in your heart for the broken people you see on a daily basis, and how you keep going even though your job is far from being a piece of cake.  Or perhaps I could talk about the strength you possess to try and always put God first, and when you stumble how you pick yourself up and try again.

I could talk about how your three daughters each have a special part of you in them and I smile every time I see it come out. Or I could mention that you truly treat me like a queen and I whisper a thank you everyday in my prayers for you.  I could talk about the way you make sure we are a team in our parenting, always supporting me, picking me up, and ensuring me that we are doing the best job we can do. Or I could say that I'm so appreciative that you deal with my multiple personalities with grace and love me unconditionally. I could talk about how you helped me realize, it is acceptable to eat non breakfast food for breakfast and the world will not crumble under my feet if I go along with it. Or I could talk about the way you show our girls that you love their mom, even though it makes them say "Ew, gross!"

I could talk about so many things, but I won't.

I'll just say Happy Birthday sweet boy. Your four girls will love you always and forever.

With love,
Tori
