Dear Little Sister
Dear little sister,
Today is the day the you graduate from high school. I'll go ahead and say it, it feels just like yesterday you were born. I remember when Mom told us the news that I would be a big sister. I cried. Everyone says it was because I was losing my spot as the baby, and that's okay if they think that.
I knew this was going to be one of my top ten moments. You know those moments in life that you never forget and will always hold on to because of that feeling you get. The feeling that is hard to explain sometimes, but the feeling when you are so overwhelmed by joy that you don't know whether to laugh, cry, jump up and down, or scream but you have to do something because you feel like you just might burst if you don't. Well that day, I cried. But know little sister, no matter what they say, they were tears of pure joy.
As you get ready to conquer your next dream, I wanted to let you in on some things I've learned since I've graduated high school...we won't mention how long it's been since that happened.
1. Listen to your parents.
2. Save as much money as you can while you are single with no children. (This is very important)
3. Read your Bible everyday, even if for only 5 minutes. (Something will speak to you, I promise.)
4. Get enough sleep.
5. No credit cards!
6. Laugh everyday and hug someone everyday. (Research shows you need at least 4 to survive, 8 for maintenance, and 12 for growth.)
8. Make mistakes and learn from them. (It's okay not to be perfect, I've learned the hard way, just keep moving forward.)
9. Find joy in simple things. (Look everyday for something small that makes you happy, it will keep you humble and grateful.)
10. Love others and Love God. (The two greatest commandments)
"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

Happy Graduation Day! |
With love,

So proud of Taylin!!! I can still see little Taylin and Mrs. Opal walking into the salon like it just happened yesterday (she had little wedges on and I remember thinking wow her calf muscles are more defined than mine are at 4 years old lol!!!) Hard to believe that was almost 14 years ago! (PS WE ARE OLD TORI!) But those 14 years have brought so many beautiful memories for your family and I'm so glad I have been able to be apart of a lot of them! Love you all!! Congrats Taylin very proud of you!!
