Just Be Still

It's in the air. You can feel it, you can see it, you can hear it. Panic, tension, anxiousness, uncertainty.

Can I remind everyone, even myself, it's all going to be okay in the end. Sure this "monstrous storm" is scary, frightening even.

Everyone knows someone who has to work and can't leave, who maybe had to leave family here, who maybe is riding out the storm alone. But again I say, in the end it's all going to be okay.

I don't know what tomorrow will bring, I don't know what the future holds. I don't know what the effects of this storm are going to be. All I can do is trust.

The youth sang a song on Sunday evening that I need to remember in times like this.
The verses went like this...

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice
is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house yet it did not fall because he had its foundation on the ROCK." Matthew 7:24

He might not save you from every earthly thing that can cause harm but remember he has already saved you for eternity. Things will probably be tough, things will probably be hard, things will probably look devastating, but when your trust is in him, you already know the end of the story. Your house is not going to fall because he is your rock.

Friends, if your foundation is on the rock, be wise, be still, and know.

With love,
Tori
